In this episode I want to talk about people having confidence in themselves and then I will move into a special topic which I will reveal during the podcast so tune in!!Susan was in the corporate world of hospitality for about 10 years.  She loved it - but she had a sense that there has got to be something more to life than this.  It felt that everything was focused on making money. The seed for change was sown. Then out of the blue a consultancy was looking for someone to be a self employed coach trainer.  Susan had never thought about being self employed at all coming from a back ground of job for life.  But she wanted to find out what life would be like to have the sense of freedom and autonomy in her work.  That was the start....  Tune in to find out more ....
Do you feel the pressure to get a qualification and then get a job, feel you are letting people down if you don't.  Is being self employed seen as a viable career? When the enjoyment is overpowered by the burden of the job, perhaps it's time to change?Scotland's Enterprising Schools are helping to change the world by helping children being enterprising. Children 3-18 years - all young people are taught self employment and entrepreneurship as a business opportunity as part of the school curriculum. We love it.  We want our children to know that being your own boss is an option for all of them should they wish to be!
When we first met Rubina on the Enterprise Island Challenge Bradford 15 years ago, she wanted to have her own business running open top bus tours.  She now makes an award winning gin, Curio Spirits - in Cornwall!!!  Tune to for a few laughs, inspiration and to hear how Rubina got from bus tours to gin!!!
"I’m quite proud of myself. I’m completely unemployable.  The fact that I am unemployable means that I have to employ myself.  So if I have to employ myself I am going to do something makes me happy and hopefully makes a few other people happy a long the way."Rachael Brown
Is it important to dress appropriately when you run your own business? Well that all depends on what you mean by appropriate doesn’t it.  What we wear says so much about both ourselves and the image we want to project. Just look at the latest picture of Dominic Cummings and his hat and wooden staff.Today’s podcast goes back to late 80s and involves Prince Charles, ties and pompous me (not Prince Charles who was lovely).#BusinessPodcasts #BusinessPodcastsScotland  #BusinessPodcastsUK  #FunnyBusinessPodcasts  #AppleBusinessPodcasts  #SpotifyBusinessPodcasts  #GoogleBusinessPodcasts  #StartABusinessPodcasts  #SmallBusinessPodcasts  #StartOwnBusinessBooks  #Scotland#CanDo  #CanDoCollective  #TheBeatles  #BackInTheUSSR  #DominicCummings  #MarksandSpencerJoin UsTo be one of the first to hear all new episodes of The Enterprise Iain Show, subscribe now .
