Condoleezza Rice - Director of the Hoover Institution

Condoleezza Rice - Director of the Hoover Institution

We wrap the season with Dr. Condoleeza Rice

Dr. Rice is among the most distinguished diplomats, political scientists and professors alive today. Born in the 1950’s in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Rice shares with us her upbringing under two extraordinary parents, how an intense focus on figure skating snapped her out of being a procrastinator, how the great classical musical composers taught her sublime melodies through the piano, but it was a long winded Protestant preacher who taught her how to improvise the notes when playing.

We speak about her wide ranging career in service of multiple U.S. Presidents, and alongside many famous foreign heads of state. She shares with us how she trained her mind to be a decision maker amidst complex circumstances, and she values most in leaders. We even touch on what new kinds of National Service could look like for the next generation of Americans.

Inspirational Podcast

Miles, I must say is a great interviewer. The questions being asked are questions I have always wanted to ask people of this stature. Great selection of people from various backgrounds and business type. I listened to the majority and soon coming to finish up. Hoping Miles will be back with another season. I have sent certain episodes to close friends and family, that could really appreciate such inspirational material. Thank you Miles for such a great podcast.

Yes, Paris Hilton led me to this AWESOME podcast!

Yep, I saw a jaw-dropping IG post with Miles and Paris Hilton, which then lead me down the rabbit hole to this really awesome podcast.

I have watched five so far and going to binge it all weekend. Great variety of people - ages, backgrounds, business-minded yet personal and inspiring conversations. Reminds me of How Did You Do That business podcast but better!

Miles is a great interviewer. Love it!

Great interviews

The format is nice and works really well with the guests. There is a lot to take away including books and ways to focus on self growth. The guests have been heavy on the business side so far- but the longer the show goes the wider the variety and content will grow. Also Mile’s coffee brand “Bixby” is pretty great too.
