Do your research

When I first stumbled upon this podcast I was extremely excited. Besides I’ve spent numerous hours listening to The Rewatchables and IMBD’s Movies That Changed My Life so I was ready for another movie lovers podcast. However, what makes good podcasts are people who do their research before hand and who have new and good insight to provide the listener. My fist and last podcast that I’ll be listening to is The Outsiders. It’s no problem to disagree with your opinions about whether or not you liked the movie as I do(and the book is better) but it’s another thing to use reasons that obviously show a lack of research on your part. The fact that you mention Matt Dillon must have been a terror on set and to watch would make sense if you knew that his character comes from the slums of New York and he spent time in jail at the age of 10. You would know that Emilio Estevez was written as the ‘wise cracker’ of the bunch, not someone who was friends with the cast and was just hanging on the set and was told to be in the movie because he had a Mickey Mouse shirt on. It was a nod to Soda’s horse from the book. Comparing Diane Lane to Julia Stiles does a terrible disservice to Diane Lane. Finally, Johnny Cade is supposed to appear filthy and beat down. READ THE F****** book and do your research. The book is a required reading for junior high/not high school. Those are just some of the issues you guys have with this podcast. There would be more if I was able to finish listening to it.

The podcast Tom deserves

Few podcasts make me laugh as much as this one. Always entertaining and the first podcast I recommend to friends.
