Ep 21 - Passover question: What is the Afikomen?

Ep 21 - Passover question: What is the Afikomen?

This is a departure from our typical podcast. I had the opportunity to speak with Ron Davis, from The Jewish Road. He shares a fun and meaningful family tradition that they do as a family each year at Passover.

Listen in as you'll hear Ron teach us about the Afikomen, the piece of matzah that is hidden and later found during the Seder. The Afikomen tradition symbolizes the burial and resurrection of Yeshua (Jesus). And it serves as a reminder of the Messiah's sacrifice and the hope of resurrection.

Love Rachel, love this podcast!

Rachel brings all of her warmth and sparkle to this valuable show. She seems to be following the wonderful tradition of Jewish believers in Yeshua from bygone days, who aimed to show to the body of believers, both Jew and Gentile, the seamless connection of the Testaments, and the richness that is brought to bear on our understanding from the feasts of Israel “for all who have loved His appearing.”

Love what Rachel is doing with this podcast and how she continually points to the importance of the Old Testament and the beauty of how the Bible is ONE continuous beautiful story pointing towards Jesus. I am grateful for what I’ve learned and how it has deepened my faith and my family’s faith in Jesus by diving deep into the foundation of the meaning of Jewish/Hebrew traditions, feasts, festivals. It is all full of purpose and meaning that enriches our faith.
