For example, Herschel Walker is running for Senate as a pro-lifer even though he has personally supported two abortions from past relationships, while John Fetterman is running for Senate claiming ‘no impairment’ even though he is clearly experiencing issues from his recent stroke. It implies that a certain belief or point of view is obvious, and therefore anyone who does not follow that belief is incompetent. In our faith, we can become blinded by our own certainties to misinterpret God’s plan for us. Certainty is a way of thinking that breeds anger in a debate, leads to misrepresentation of God, and rarely leads to positive outcomes. So how do we set aside our certainties and keep faith in each other?

Each episode, our host Jordan Howard will be joined by Reverend David Williams, his pastor, and David’s good friend Tom Ingraham as we talk through challenges facing our society today to gain an understanding from different perspectives.

In this first episode, we discuss one of the most divisive topics in society...race and class. Even though David is an African American pastor and Tom is a white business man, we believe there is value in having these conversations together so we can all better understand the challenges facing our society.
