I Almost Lost It!

I Almost Lost It!

2022-05-2747:16

This Episode is a deep one.  After listening to my guest, speak about her mental health issue... I was broken. Many people, who are suffering from mental health issues, are scared of you calling them names. They are battling with the disorder as well as the rejection from the society. Many speak about it and end up being told, "cheer up, and you will be fine", as if being uncheerful is the cause of depression. Many say take it to the Lord in prayers, but I say, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick." They need God as well as a doctor, therapist, counselor and a society that understand that mental health is an important part of life.  Don't be shocked, we all have the possibility of having a mental health issue, we just find ways to manage it better than our next neighbor. Are you saying God forbids? Okay, evaluate yourself, then be sincere with your evaluation before making a conclusion. Hey! You have been managing it well and that your friend hasn't been able to manage it well because he or she doesn't have the tools available to you or can't make proper use of the tools. Before you call him or her mad, ask yourself, am I also normal? Mental Health is a Priority, take it SERIOUSLY!  There is this thing called Depression, it is real. It is a mental health disorder. People having it, most times, cannot explain how they are feeling. They just know something isn't right somewhere and somehow or anyhow. Many have lost their minds to this, many are already experiencing a serious psychiatric problem because they have been hiding it. You might be wondering why will you hide it when you know it is injurious to your whole being. Many hide it because you and me judge them and attribute spiritual meaning to it. Listen to this episode. It is a great conversation with a great woman who has been depressed for over 25 years, took her more than 15 years of her life to understand what was really happening to her. She finally got help after almost 20 years in depression. Has the help been effective? How has the society been treating her? Has she come to accept her mental health disorder? These and many more were revealed on this episode. You should listen! The Conversation Continues...
On this episode, I talked about getting married and the cultural and social factors surrounding getting married that might contribute to the causation of mental illness, specifically, depression. Recommendations were also made on ways to protect oneself from the cultural and social factors that might lead to depression. Some people need MENTORING Some need COACHING Some need MOTIVATION What do you need? 2022 is two weeks gone, oh you know too, what happened to those dreams, goals, visions, etc. you have outlined? Have you forgotten you have 2021 goals yet to be achieved? Hey don’t abandon them, you need to work on them too. Finish with one before to start another. Don’t be intimidated. Pressure is allowed when it is the positive pressure.  Living an Intentional Life.  You don’t need a perfect life, what you need is a purposeful life.  Get your wheels of life back and ‘start the work’!  Now is the right time!
A 6 minutes plus talk on that spectacular, great and powerful thing, which is beyond me and every listener out there, the number one thing, God's Mercy. It will be very good if you listen to it as you will never feel the same way you were before listening to it. Music: Yadah- Beyond Me (I do not have any proprietary right to the song.)

I talked about my preparedness for the new year and things to watch out for. Do not forget to share the link with others as we all need to be prepared for the new year. Remember 2022 or a new year has got nothing for you except if you have something or some things for the new year, if not, it remains a regular day breaking into another. What sets it apart is your preparedness, self acceptance, believe and goals/visions.
