    34. The Most Colorful Time of the Year (Holiday Bonus Episode)

Look at us! You didn't know if we'd follow through, huh? Well, we did, and we're discussing an absolutely absurd Hallmark Christmas movie this week. It's got everything you need in a Christmas movie: problematic elements, weird/inaccurate science, questionable medical ethics, and a bunch of horned up moms! The list goes on, but we've got some Sun-er...some Hallmark-Christmas-dancing to do, so let's get to it!
The Most Colorful Time of the Year - (04:52)
The song used during the end sign off is called "Home for the Holidays" and can be found here!

    33. Christmas in the Clouds

It's time for a Christmas episode again! Just one movie again this go around, but maybe we'll do a bonus episode next month. Christmas in the Clouds is a Christmassy, screwball comedy! We dig deep into all the tropes of Hallmark Christmas movies as well, and if you stick around until the end you can hear a festive treat: "Christmas at the Laundromat." It's for sure the dumbest sign off we've ever done. Grab those snickerdoodles out of the oven, and slurp up that nog because it’s time to Sundance around the Christmas tree!
Christmas in the Clouds - (04:18)
Song used during Christmas at the Laundromat is 'Love Letters' by Aaron Kenny. Genre / Mood: Cinematic Calm YouTube Audio Library and can be found here!

    32. The Vicious Kind

Something's cooking in the oven! We can smell it. Could it be turkey? No, that's not it. It smells like family dysfunction, terrible people, and misogyny! Oh, boy! We have a nice, warm, feel good Thanksgiving movie for you this week--absolutely perfect for the family gathering...if your family happens to be a raging dumpster fire, that is! This episode is a little shorter than usual so that Jessica doesn't have to spend an entire week editing and can instead have time to contemplate her year and life choices during the holiday season. Alright, unbutton those top buttons on your pants and get ready for the turkey sweats because it's time to Sundance!

Song in the film that was mentioned - “Welcome Home, Son” by Radical Face

    31. Waitress, Mandy, and The Nightmare Before Christmas

    31. Waitress, Mandy, and The Nightmare Before Christmas

What's this?!?! A new episode! We're transitioning into deeper holiday and festive vibes, but since it's not quite Christmas and Halloween just ended, we chose a couple of films that have that spooky, eerie tone (disturbing even) and another that is warm and involves pies! Just don't try to understand it...these films feel a little bit autumnal with a dash of Christmas throw in, and that's all we really need, ok? So preheat those ovens and grab your freshly forged battle axes because it's time to Sundance!

    30. Watcher, Miss Americana, and Magic Mike

It's time for another episode! We're talking about a tense thriller, a very entertaining documentary, and a film about some dudes just having fun...or are they? We get a tad unhinged while discussing Watcher and Miss Americana. Look, it's hard not to analyze in depth both Taylor Swift and the different struggles of women, ok? They both inspire a lot of conversation, and we just have a lot of feelings! So limber up, tune those guitars, and let's Sundance!

    Miss Americana - (27:40)
    Magic Mike - (52:57)

A pleasure to listen to!

I tuned in to the episode about “Hunt For The Wilderpeople”, “Promising Young Woman” and “Lola Versus” because I genuinely love 2 of those 3 movies (haven’t seen “Lola”). And what an absolute blast I had listening to them discuss these movies. Their chemistry works really well and I appreciate the differing perspectives they can give on each movie. The customized rating system is excellent as well.

I feel like I’m listening to friends 😊

This is such an amazing podcast if you love film! As a fellow film connoisseur (also a fellow lover of the Sundance Film Festival, jealous you’ve been) its so lovely to hear the thoughts, feeling and inspirations those films have given to others. My favourite episode so far is Tully, Whiplash and Gattaca. I loved to hear all the thoughts of these to wonderful people on these films. They are some personal favourites of mine and I felt like I was listening to friends have a discussion and even caught myself talking along with them! Definitely recommend this podcast if you love all things Sundance and Indie Films 😊

Please Listen!

I love movies and films, but never really dove into the world of indie films before. This podcast has not only piqued my interest is these films, but the dynamic between the two is fun and infectious. If you guys like movies or are even a little bit interested in indie films, these guys will get you hooked. Definitely worth the listen!!
