Welcome, Friends. Storytelling has the power to not only create connections but provide universal truths about ourselves and the world. When listening to this podcast, I ask that you honor these stories and the rawness, transparency, and vulnerability that they invoke. Invite them with an open heart and you will see that all stories share a universal message. I pray that each anecdote leaves you inspired to share as the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "It is also charity to utter a good word.” But more importantly, I pray that you allow yourself to find comfort in the good, wisdom in the hardship, and the courage to trust Allah.

    Bending The Knee

Once again in TDS tradition, Cadar opens the season with another personal story. This time it’s a continuation of the first debut episode on TDS called “The WallFlower.'' The story takes place after she’s found a new sense of direction and faith, except now all that she believes in is put to the test. In her first year of university, Cadar learns from experience the entrenched and upheld islamophobic realities that plagues western academia. Until one day everything comes to a head, and, Cadar’s had to make choice for the sake of her academic career & future to either bend the knee or stand ten toes down in what she believes in.

Dada, I Won’t Forget Who We Are

For too long the whole world, and particularly us as Muslims, have turned a blind eye to the horrific and brutal treatment of our Uyghur brothers and sisters. We must remember them, we must say their names, we must hear their stories - so today we bring you two. Subhi and Jewher were raised miles apart, but share one homeland - East Turkestan.

It is common knowledge that France has always made it very hard for muslim women to wear the hijab, and this season of Fighting for faith would be missing something if it didn’t have our French sisters. In this episode Loubna Reguig the national president of the EMF (Etudiants Musulmans de France - the French Muslim Students association) sheds light on the challenges faced by Muslim woman who choose to wear the hijab in France and how the French authorities leverage the different principles of the republic to justify their oppressive actions.

The best podcast OUT THERE

I have been listening to the Digital Sisterhood for years now. I started listening when I was still a Catholic Christian. Alhamdulillah I converted to Islam on 12/04/23 and I am experiencing my first Ramadan now. I have never come across a podcast as real, raw, wholesome, empowering, impactful and UTTERLY AMAZING as this podcast. Also I feel like this podcast set the initial stepping stones for me finding my way to Islam Subhanallah. I’m forever grateful to you for that. The stories I’ve heard have made such a huge impact on me. I can’t thank you enough for sharing these amazing stories and starting this beautiful platform to connect sisters. Just know I recommend this podcast to EVERY SISTER I MEET. I can’t stop talking about how amazing this show is! I’m a brand evangelist at this point. You are doing so much good in this world by being you. These messages and stories are so needed especially in 2024 with everything going on in the world. I’m so grateful knowing I can always come here and be inspired, and be even more on fire for this deen. Alhamdulillah I will keep you in my duaa and I’m so extremely happy to see all your success. Keep doing the loving work you’re doing and Inshallah you’ll have more converts created from your life changing stories.
