In this episode of the Sage of Three Paths Okello, Oz and Mo share their space with film producer, voiceover artist and all around creative, Levi Johnson. Honorary Sage Levi speaks on his love for fencing. The conversation quickly encompasses Levi’s mindset of being one of relatively few black people who participate in the sport, and his experiences and trials within that world. African and Jamaican culture is lightly juxtaposed, showing both faces of light and dark. Cultural appropriation, colonialism, slavery, racism, ‘borderline’ racism, censorship of history! There is no stone left unturned in this walk on the shores of the beach of diaspora. Do you even know yourself?  The isolation one can feel regardless of the context can be maddening. Take pause and catch your breath. You are not alone. At the very least you have the Sages with you, armed with compassion and honest ignorance. Let's dive right in. From networking, sacrifice, sneaking into venues and borderline maniacle practise regimes - all for the love and belief in the music and talent. Gems are a plenty. Keep your gaze up and your steps steadfast. The bar that represents "doing your best" can move, in both ways. Continue to strive for what you believe in. Let's dive right in. This episode of the Sage of Three Paths, the three brothers Okello, Oz and Mo welcome to the podcast a brother in spiritual arms. Giving opinions, debating and of course touching on their current recommendations. This episode of the Sage of Three Paths, the three brothers Okello, Oz and Mo are graced with the presence of the one and only Stella ‘No Filter’ Wang. Immediately becoming a true Honorary Sage, Stella speaks with a hilariously refreshing sense of freedom and frankness.  Stella gives the Sage’s a broad-strokes look at her upbringing and path so far. They discuss her life in China and the UK, the immigrant experience, racism, corporate obstacles, religion and how societal norms can differ around the world. E.g. Eating dogs?… Truly an enriching conversation, as ignorant questions are nurtured, compartmentalised, bullied, laughed at and then rationalised.  Breaking glass ceilings when viewed from the outside is a subjective view of something doable. Only through genuine and honest discussions can we even begin to understand someone else’s path. This episode of the Sage of Three Paths, the three brothers Okello, Oz and Mo see the grand finale of the conversation with Fiona.  Gems are neatly placed throughout the episode, so it may be advisable to hold your note pad ready as Fiona donates some of her wisdom and insights to the Sages. The group, amongst other things, question the source of the issue. Why isn’t more compassion in the world? Why can a barefoot homeless man riding a bike without any treads go ignored? Why aren’t more people asking why? This episode of the Sage of Three Paths, the three brothers Okello, Oz and Mo welcome their guest Fiona, who has over a decade of experience working with vulnerable individuals; more specifically with vulnerable women and how best to support them. Fiona guides the Sages through her own path, and imparts gems of knowledge skillfully through each anecdote. They delve into the topic of empathy and how this can sometimes create internal friction and unhappiness if mismanaged.  What we lack can be filled with the helping hand of our family and friends. As cheesy as it sounds; united we stand strong, divided we fall and we all lose. This episode of the Sage of Three Paths, the three brothers Okello, Oz and Mo navigate through a vast variety of topics. They cover their experiences with members of the transgender community, and quickly segue into oppression and run-ins with the police. Through personal anecdotes, the Sages reveal more about themselves and their experiences, whilst simultaneously shedding some light on the long arm of the law and how they have been affected by its reach. There are no angels or demons, just life, which can be subjectively fair or unfair. The Sages open up about these things because conversation is key to progress. Staying silent is not a tool used by them, but is one way to be either remembered or more likely forgotten. Listen through right to the end of the episode to hear @JuniorLam as he gives a brief insight to something he has been working on. Let's dive right in. We are back! Sorry for not posting anything for a while, as a family we have been dealing with many difficult issues in life. However, it brings us great joy to say we have made it out the other side and are pleased to present our latest episode. This episode of the Sage of Three Paths, the three brothers Okello, Oz and Mo allow Okello to take the reins and explain a portion of his path, and how without hard work, injustice can run rampant leading to all parties losing when that happens.  In this cruel world, hold onto these words: Move forward with love and compassion in tow doing what you can. Time for us is finite and there is so much beauty to bask in.  The Sages find ways to bleed in other topics such as current reading lists, crazy stories from Reddit, the Writer’s Deli poetry group and what effect they have had on the Sages. This episode of the Sage of Three Paths, the three brothers Okello, Oz and Mo take a glancing look into religions. They discuss everything from rat deities, blessings from cows and what creeds they each choose to follow. Zen Wa Ichi / Ichi Wa Zen is a Japanese phrase which loosely translates to "All is One / One is All". This is paraphrased from the popular anime Full Metal Alchemist and has had a profound effect on the Sages and the paths they follow. The concept of equivalent exchange and seeing the connection between all things can be a beautiful but controversial topic to discuss. This notion is explored between the Sages as they remain steadfast on the road to continual growth. Let's dive right in.
