Jack Griffiths talks to Lorna Potter from Bristol Women Climbers. They discuss the importance of these groups, the benefits of climbing with other women and how men can help make climbing walls less intimidating.
Colour Up is a group that is promoting diversity in climbing, meeting regularly to go climbing at Flashpoint Bristol our boulder wall in the centre of town. In this episode Jack talks to Carlos, who is the founder of this group, about the need for these types of groups and how climbing walls can help them get started.
The Mental Health Boulder Project is run by Pete Bennett at our climbing wall in London, called the Hackney Wick Boulder Project. In this episode Jack and Pete chat about how the project got off the ground, how it runs, the effect it has had on people's lives and how someone might set up their own similar project.
Bristol Inclusive Thrill Seekers is a volunteer organisation that provides sessions for people with disabilities at one of our climbing walls called Redpoint Bristol. In this episode Jack speaks to one of the founders, Tom, about what it takes to set up a charity like this from scratch.
