What a time to be alive, am I right? In this episode, we're talking about unity and the importance of being in harmony with others. From an apolitical perspective (or one that is not partial to either of two sides), we address the recent matters of unrest in America - how can we navigate them in a way that's healthy for both you and those around you? Additionally, the topic of politics doesn't seem to be going anywhere whether you seek it out or avoid it like the plague... so when we find ourselves in politically centered discussions, how can we have those conversations in such a way that ultimately results in two people who have both been heard, who still respect each other, and most importantly results in a headspace for you that is still safely rooted in peacefulness and joy, even after the most passionate discussions? We're covering it all, right here and now :) ((My insta: @m.sail.f)) ((My website: marissasailfike.com)) ((My wellness business: royalgreenhealth.com)) ((My Facebook: Marissa Sail Fike  - Author)) ((My Pinterest: @marissasailf)) --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/marissa-fike/support

Hey, you, let's have some fun! This episode will be a little different, and slightly less 'eloquent' than a typical Joyful Headspace episode. I'll be answering the following 18 questions you guys sent in (and I'd love for you guys to copy paste them and play along too!): 1) What do you binge? 2) What animal would you be? 3) What are your quirks? 4) What are you afraid of? 5) Favorite phone app? 6) Almond milk - good or nah? 7) Introvert or Extrovert? 8) Favorite movie quote? 9) All time favorite meal? 10) What are some unforgivable foods in your mind? 11) What is your biggest Pet Peeve? 12) Are you a morning person or night person? 13) What do you look for in friends? 14) Favorite season? 15) Do you collect anything? 16) Do you have a morning or night routine and if so, what is it? 17) Do you have any pets? 18) What's the best way to spend a rainy afternoon?) There are many inspiring stories in existence about breakthroughs and quick healings, but hardly any about people who have  not yet experienced breakthrough results, and still found a way to cope, and even thrive. Well, today... I’m here to fill that gap. To pass on a message of hope that there is always a way to transform your circumstance. This is a message for those who are smack in the middle of a trial… still wondering if it’ll get better… if your story will become an inspiring tribute to your patience. You don’t need to wait for positive results to have an inspiring testimony… you can kick start it right now. It’s true that not all stories end in healing… but they don’t have to end in hopelessness either. You have the power to turn your struggle into your purpose… to transform your circumstance instead of waiting around for it to change on its own. In this episode, we're going to discuss the amazing amount of freedom that comes with taking nothing personally, the joy that comes with taking yourself less seriously, and most importantly, the one thing we should be taking extra seriously.  Then we ask the question of how can we keep this mindset in place when it matters, but also maintain enough ‘seriousness’ to keep us moving forward as a successful doer? After all, we don’t want to treat life like a joke, that we become lazy and careless with what we set out to do. Where is the balance here and how do we achieve it?
