Jesus’ trial was an absolute sham, violating absolutely every part of the Jewish court system. Jesus could have walked away from the cross, but he didn't. Instead, he was brave enough and faithful enough to follow God’s will over his own. Communion was never designed to be taken by ourselves, but in community with others. We may not like a song. We might think the sermon is boring, or the service is too long. The Holy Spirit opened the door of understanding, the apostles then delivered the teaching they had learned from Jesus.
