How my Trauma and Pain Created a Stronger Version of Me

Jacqueline Villeneuve is a passionate non-profit founder and director, single mother, survivor, and believer. With 10+ years experience in the child protection and GBV sectors, Jacqueline shares her powerful message of rising above the trauma of sexual assault and letting your heart lead when following your dreams. At the age of 15, Jacqueline began volunteering in Kenya with vulnerable women and children. Through her time in Kenya she was inspired to advocate for orphaned and abandoned children, founding ZLT Hope Homes at the age of 18 alongside her Kenyan partner, Jerusha Wanjiru. To date she has raised over half a million dollars for ZLT Hope Homes. Jacqueline is a domestic violence and sexual assault survivor. Her journey as a survivor inspired her to create She Matters, a community for survivors of sexual violence.
