October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. I really wanted to highlight domestic abuse during 2020 and what the protocol has been during this time and more. Also, I wanted to bring awareness to the signs of domestic violence. We all need to be educated and aware of the signs. It's not always recognizable that you or someone you love could be in an abusive relationship since it’s not always physical. Here is a link that has every domestic abuse hotline number in every country! Please call one of these numbers if you or someone you know needs help: Podcast Promo: Evidence of a Crime Sources:

60. The Smurl Family Haunting: Real Life Source of the Movie, The Haunted

Picture it: West Pittston, Pennsylvania, 1973. Janet and Jack Smurl move their family into a house on Chase Street. By the family’s accounts, what they experienced during their time living there was something out of your worst reveries. The paranormal activity was so insane that they called on Ed and Lorraine Warren to come investigate the home. However, there are doubts in people’s minds about this whole story. Find out why. It’s up to you to decide what you believe. Side note: One thing I forgot to mention is that Jack Smurl passed away in 2017 at the age of 75. He lost a long battle with diabetes. 56. The Unsolved Mystery of Leigh Occhi

Leigh Occhi had just turned 13-years-old when her mother ran home from work to see if she was okay, after she couldn’t get her on the phone. What she came home to was the scene out of a nightmare. The reason I say “possible murder” in the intro is because some people think she was beaten severely and taken somewhere, possibly locked away. However, I believe the majority will come to the conclusion that this was a murder. This case, from 1993, is still unsolved to this day. Leigh has never been found. Was it the mother? Was it the kidnapping, rapist convict that spent so much time with Leigh at the church? After listening, I would like to hear your opinions. Promo: Voice of the Victim Patreon: Sources:

In the summer of 1982, a young lady, Kathy Shaw was abducted, raped, and tortured for 3 days and 3 nights. A split decision saved her life. Now she spends her days wondering where this man is now. Is he the cause of most of the missing women in the Rockingham and Caswell county areas in North Carolina? Are there women that didn’t escape? Her case is closed and I have started a petition for all of us to ban together to get it reopened. 53. Edmund Kemper: The Co-Ed Killer

Ed Kemper always had issues with his mother, Clarnell. She never tried to hide her true feelings about him. Clarnell was the one person Ed wanted out of his life. He took his rage and anger, that he had against his mother, out on trusting college girls who needed a ride to destinations that most would, sadly, never make it to. Ed thought to himself that he couldn’t kill anymore of these girls because they were not the source of his pain or the ones he really wanted dead. Podcast Promo: Twisted and Uncorked SOURCES:
