I'm Derek Appau, your host and a professional (ICF, ACC accredited) career coach who has been fortunate enough to enjoy hundreds of really insightful conversations with people who are searching for career fulfillment, dealing with major company changes, and those who are on top of their game but wanting to reach a new level of success and fulfillment within their career.

These conversations have been so insightful, and in some cases inspiring that I wanted to share the best of these talks with all of you through this podcast series.

2020: The year of COVID19. It's been tough and we've lived through not one but two national 'lockdowns' here in the UK! Globally many of us have had to dig deep for resilience methods, calling on strengths of self and others to get through it all. Someone who knows quite a bit about the power of utilising our strengths and the psychology behind the approach is Dr Paul Brewerton, aka the Strengths Guy. In episode 10 I really wanted to offer my listeners someone who had turned their passion into a profession, but who also had a solid track record supporting organisations and leaders in addressing racial inequality. My guest Dr Eden Charles has 30+ years experience which includes going beyond surface level initiatives with organisations and more towards radical changes that effectively tackles inequality systemically and holistically. Dr Eden is known for the co-creation of the largest BAME leadership development programme in the UK.
