A hot poddy

I really like Darren's m0vieblog website, and I enjoy this podcast quite a bit.

My favorite film podcast!

If I told you how many different film podcasts I’ve listened to, you wouldn’t believe me. I’ve found around a dozen really great ones, but The 250 is absolutely my favorite. Having quickly caught up with their entire back catalogue, I eagerly await each new episode. Because the show’s about IMDb’s top 250, most of the films they review are good and will be familiar to even the most casual cinephile, but both hosts are so funny, thoughtful, and intelligent that I always thoroughly enjoy their discussions, even if I am not enamored of/haven’t seen the film that The Random Number Generator has chosen on any given week. Their rapport is so natural and delightful that I especially love the occasional tangents and stories from their lives, but Darren is (just a little too) good at keeping the focus on the topic at hand (thank you, Andrew, for not making this the easiest of tasks). I’ll admit that I also find their accents intoxicating, and I’d keep listening even if the content of the podcast weren’t as excellent as it is, but you’ll love it even if lovely voices don’t do anything for you. If you aren’t already convinced, I never leave reviews ‘cause I deleted Apple’s glitchy podcast app long ago, but I’m using my cousin’s just to write this.

Funny, thoughtful, plus delightful accents!

As a film podcast addict (I listen to dozens and co-host one myself), I am always sampling new shows and once in a while will add a couple to the permanent queue while culling out those that have gotten stale. Darren and Andrew had me hooked right away with their banter, level of intelligent engagement with the films they discuss (IMDb's top 250), and northwest Irish cadences. I had chosen about ten new podcasts to sample this round, but after the first episode I heard of The 250 I immediately started bingeing the back catalog and will probably catch up within the week. Looking forward to the promise of at least 250, plus the occasional dip they take into some movies closer to the bottom of IMDb's ratings. Keep up the great work, guys!
